no. i’m on kimchi side. she’s not naughty, just being protective. you have to understand many cats have instinct like this. you bring people to intrude her kingdom. 1) you should alert your family and friends when they visit your home, not to go near or interrupt your cat. 2) you should calm kimchi, let her stay in a place where she feels safe and gives her treat to encourage her. after a while, she may get use to the atmosphere and the smell of strangers, then she may come out to meet your friends. (einstein is like this) or she may just keep staying in the secure zone. (dali’s case.) the point is let the cats to take action, not visitors. if the cat feels comfortable, she will approach the strangers. or else, just leave her alone.
not exaggerating, some cats may have blood urine after strangers’ visit… because of stress. so must be handled very carefully… p.s… i’m very harsh on my friends when they visit my house. (many “donts”.. and keep telling them to speak quiet and move slow. hahaha.)
I’m totally agree with you and that’s what I am doing to other cats in other homes now. I should forward ur message to them. There are not too many cats can be Miss/Mr Friendship.
